2021 off to a flying start...not.
What a year...so far! We don't need to tell you what a challenging time it's been for us, because it's been a sh*te time for everyone. Like many Bands and Artists across the world, we've had to cancel or postpone everything we had planned up until now, including our run of gigs where we were going to have a bit of a party in rememberance of the late, great Barrie Masters. Some of those shows will be rescheduled for next year and although it won't be a specific Memorial Tour, we will always have a party and after so many years on the road together, every show is going to be one for Bazza anyway.
Surviving members of Eddie & The Hot Rods will be out on the road in 2020 in memory of their legendary lead singer, Barrie Masters, who passed away in October 2019.
The shows will see bassist Ian ‘Dispter’ Dean take on the duty of lead vocals. With drummer Simon Bowley, and guitarist Richard Holgarth this line up of Eddie & The Hot Rods backed Barrie Masters for nearly 20 years, making them the longest serving line up in the bands history. Tributes to Barrie Masters were led online by Spandau Ballet’s Gary and Martin Kemp, The Damned’s Captain Sensible and TV nature show host Chris Packham. His funeral was attended by all living original members of Eddie & The Hot Rods, Dr Feelgood, and Green Day’s live guitarist Kevin Preston who made a special journey following a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Following encouragement from fans worldwide, and at the insistence of Barrie’s family, the band have decided to carry on playing live. Bass player Mic Stoner will join the band with special guests Department S* and Duncan Reid And The Big Heads** on some shows. A special London show 1 year on from Barrie’s passing will take place on Saturday 3rd October. Full 2020 dates:

We have been completely overwhelmed by messages from fans and Barrie’s family encouraging us to carry on performing. With this in mind we have decided to perform shows in 2020 as The HotRods, every show will in memory of the great man himself.
Our first confirmed show is in France on Jan 18th more dates to follow.
Thank you for your support .
Today we celebrate the life of Barrie Masters.
Whilst family, friends, band mates and fans will attend the funeral this afternoon, we realise there are a lot of you around the world who will be unable to attend.
So that you can join us in celebrating Barrie, we have published the full 'Done Everything We Wanna Do' show from earlier this year. There will be no commercial release of this show - we want you to enjoy it and raise a glass to Barrie.

It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of the legendary Barrie Masters.
As you can expect, this sudden news is a huge shock to the band and family.
We welcome tributes posted to our Facebook and Twitter sites which will be passed on to Barrie's family. More news will follow.
We're pleased to announce a few more shows with the mighty Stiff Little Fingers this summer.
There's a great review of our 'Done Everything We Wanna Do' show in the new issue of Vive Le Rock Magazine. Look for the issue with the Stray Cats on the front cover.
Some of the crew for Heatwave Mag were also in attendance and they did a pretty comprehensive write up with video clips here!
DONE EVERYTHING WE WANNA DO!
A night that exceeded all expectations with a cast of class acts and friends old and new delivering a show that will be in our memories for a long time.
